T 1.21.14



Think I let stress from the day get to me tonight.  I felt pretty drained by the time I made it to the garage to work out tonight.  Hopefully this was just a one time event.

1A. RDL @ 32×1; 4 x 3-4 / 90 sec rest

176 x 4 / 198 x 4 / 220 x 4 / 230 x 4.  Focused on keeping legs straight with soft knees and sending butt back.  Definitely felt more tension in my hamstrings than last time.  Last set got a little sloppy though and I think I ended up letting my knees bend more, unloading my hammies… might have been a bit too heavy.

1B. DB chest press 3 x 6-8 @ 21×1 / 90 sec rest

 45 x 8 / 45 x 8 / 45 x 8 / 45 x 8.  Could have gone a bit heavier, but didn’t have heavier DBs.

2. Segmented snatch grip deadlift 5 x 2; pause 2″ off ground & above knees

 176 / 176 / 198 / 198 / 220.


3. Hang power snatch x 10 unbroken / 60 sec rest x 5 sets

 Started to get tough in set 4.  Grip gave out after 5 reps in set 5 and was unable to complete the full 10 unbroken in the final round.

4. FLR from floor 60 sec on / 60 sec off x 4

 These weren’t too challenging.

For time: 8-6-4-2 HSPU & KBS (1.5 pood)

9:10… yikes.  Should have been able to do this thing in a few minutes.  HSPUs were a mess.  Many, many failed attempts.  This was frustrating, did my best to keep my head though.
