Th 1.23.14

Had to squeeze a training session in mid day today due to some other commitments that popped up.  Not doing a very good job managing stress right now with a looming deadline mid-week next week.  Hopefully things calm down after that, but right now I’m feeling pretty drained.

1A.  Front Squat @ 65%  x 5 – 10 sets @ 31×1 / 90sec rest

158 lbs.  These got pretty tough.

1B. Strict pull ups x5 – 10 sets @ 21×0 / 90sec rest

5/5/5/5/5/4/4/4/4/4.  Couldn’t maintain tempo after 5 rounds so cut the reps down to 4 each set.

5 sets for time:
7 hang squat cleans @ 115 lbs
7 burpee box jumps to 24″
14 walking front rack lunges @ 115 lbs
7 kipping pull ups

3:38 / 4:02 / 4:17 / 4:44 / 4:27.  Yowsers this was rough.  Breathing was difficult through the box jumps and lunges.  Legs felt wrecked during the box jumps.  Everything but the squat cleans were broken up.
